Flea bites make dogs to scratch constantly in the affected areas. Some dogs are more sensitive than others to flea bites and they might get allergic reactions. Generally, fleas don't transmit diseases from dogs to humans, but there is still a small risk because fleas bite people as well as dogs.
If you suspect that your canine friend is infested with fleas it is advisable to contact your veterinarian.
